[She clears her throat and takes a deep breath. See? She's awake!

I wanted to thank you for what you said to me the other day. It really opened my eyes to some things I was overlooking that I should've been taking into consideration. I've immediately resigned from Miss Jane's detective agency and I'm travelling right now. I thought I should let you know in case you need to get a hold of me.

[Oh look a letter from Riz--

Oh. .... Ohhhhhh god. She's a bit miffed at Riz, sure, but more than that she's kicking herself. How could this have gone so badly?! WHY does her giving advice always go badly?!]

[A few deep breaths to calm down, think. ... And then a solution comes to her.

So whenever Zrak comes back to Riz... he won't be alone. He'll be tailed by a big, fluffy Altaria with a slightly frantic Allura riding him, her hair unfortunately not billowing majestically (because she JUST had a spa weekend and doesn't want to ruin all that hard work by getting it tangled and knotted), but the tight bun DOES bear a light pink streak that wasn't there before. The second they're close enough to the ground, Allura JUMPS off Kirlos and makes a dash for the human with a goblin center.]

RIZ!

[Riz had been feeling somewhat pleased with how he had handled things. He had sent Allura a letter, not only thanking her for her advice, but letting her know his current whereabouts (well, roughly, at least), two things he might not always have thought of doing. His mom would probably be proud of him, he thinks, for remembering to do so.

So, when Allura quite suddenly drops down from a bit, streaking towards him and yelling his name, he's genuinely deeply surprised. Maybe a little startled. Okay, maybe a lot.]

A-Allura?

[Where is Mando? We don't know, it doesn't matter, before Allura is bearing down on him, her face like a somewhat raging storm.]

[Yup, marching up to him and, after some rummaging through her pack, waving the letter he sent her in the air, not just confused but WORRIED.]

[Riz knows his handwriting is a little (a lot) horrible, but he thought he wrote it readable enough.]

YES, I am CAPABLE of reading this, Riz Gukgak! [Is he SERIOUSLY questioning her reading skills?!] What I DON'T understand is where the QUIZNAK in our conversation YOU extrapolated the words "you should quit your job and leave Jane in the lurch!" Did you even SPEAK to her before you left, or give her a chance to voice her views on the matter?!

[Riz knows there must be an appropriate reaction in this case, an appropriate way to feel even, but fuck if he knows what it is. He doesn't even entirely understand what is making Allura so upset.]

Wh-what, yes, of course, I did! I had to hand her my letter of resignation, didn't I? I didn't-- I didn't just sneak out of there or something.
