"Thace gifted us an Ice Stone for Christmas, but Coressa wanted to wait until she was ready. After competing in her first contest as a Vulpix, she felt confident enough to evolve. I'm extremely proud of how far we've come already. She's also taken to wearing the ribbon on a chain, like her role model Acxa."

This little one was brought into the rehabilitation center after having been found orphaned. This resulted in me fostering Chumirra for a few nights and... well, we've bonded. Coressa seems very fond of her too, and the little Azurill follows her around like a baby düflax. She's still a bit nervous from whatever happened out in the wild, but hopefully she'll be easier to calm down. "It took a lot of time and work, but Chumirra finally evolved in the middle of the house's New Year's celebrations! I suppose she finally felt calm and safe around us! She's still on the cautious side, but she seems much more relaxed than when we first met. I'm very proud of her growth, not just in evolution but emotionally. "I really am pleased with how much progress Chumirra has made since we first met. While still tentative at times, she refuses to let her fears get in the way of her goals or protecting our family. Ayrol really has been a good influence on her."

This little one is newly hatched and quickly decided to be Chumirra's playmate. He actually does a lot of good at getting her to relax... even if the two of them mean that Coressa and I have our hands full. Thankfully we have plenty of experienced human and Pokémon housemates to help. "Ayrol surprised all of us at the Violet Gym: not just by begging to go against Falker's ace Pidgeot, or by winning after a grueling battle, but by evolving at the end of it! I can't describe how proud I am of him, I'm so glad I decided to believe in him!"

(You have no idea how tempting it was to name him after Keith or Lance...) Even if this also means enabling their mischievous streaks..."

Her name comes from one of his world's words for the wisteria flower. From what he told me, Glicynia takes quite a bit after her mother, Geralt's Mudsdale... and frankly probably a bit from Jaskier himself. She's very spirited and opinionated, but she does have a sweet side when she settles down, especially for grooming sessions. "Now that Glicynia's evolved, her stubbornness is a bit more tempered... emphasis on 'a bit.' Still, she's a fierce fighter and extremely loyal to our little family; I think most of the wild Pokémon around Violet City have learned to not mess with my team when she's around."

Still, he's rather sweet and affectionate when he is awake, and he has quite the move set for such a young Pokémon. "Kirlos might be a bit too big to perch on my head anymore, but he still maintains his calm and- pun mildly intended- unflappable demeanor. He often helps calm disputes between the other members of my team and especially soothes Glicynia's more volatile moments."

Honestly, I expected something like books or tea, but he was extremely generous: a "blue lion" and a circlet bearing a Water Gem. This little one hatched shortly before New Year's, and I decided to name him after Felix, in a way. He's certainly been rambunctious, and eager to play and learn to battle. Thankfully Coressa and Morling have been very helpful in reining him in. "Since evolving, Luxio's started to take much more after Felix in looks and temperament, becoming a bit more serious but still mischievous, and even more eager to train and fight. He also seems to have decided that Avara is his rival, possibly due to her cheerful nature and being the first Pokémon he's encountered that can't be Intimidated. Likewise Avara seems completely unfazed and tries to get him to loosen up. Hopefully I can keep this from turning into a problem. "Thankfully, Fraldor and Avara seem to have worked out their differences, especially since both of them evolved. (He actually felt bad when an Intimidate worked on her, due to her Ability changing as a Lycanroc.) If anything, I think he's starting to become fond of her. He's mellowed out nicely overall too, and is putting in much more effort in training, even helping the younger Pokémon with their moves."

Like these little 'flower fairy' Pokémon: Juna seemed to notice me admiring the flowers and jotting down notes and came over to say hello. She didn't seem to want to part when it was time to go either, so... I have a new Pokémon partner on this journey. She's very amiable and gets along quite well with the others... although the pleasant nature masks a prankster streak a mile wide. I don't know how I managed to attract so many rambunctious Pokémon... but when I think about it, it's not at all unlike the mice, is it? "It wasn't long at all before Juna evolved. I think she's happy to be a bit larger and more able to play with the other Pokémon. I'll admit I'd been a bit protective of her due to the cold and her small size, but she's proven she can handle herself just fine, plus I'm not the only one looking out for her."

Of course we treated her to some berries as thanks, and she decided to stay with us. She gets along quite well with Coressa especially. I would say her sweet nature belies a ravenous appetite, but I'm already quite used to it with the mice in our reality."
