Congratulations to all three of you. I look forward to reading your work, Riz.
[.... And fine, might as well.]
I was struck in the eye by an errant frisbee. The doctors said it should heal in a month or so, but it should stay covered to prevent infection. It's embarrassing, and I don't like advertising that I now have a massive blind spot.
[Their timber involves handcuffing overly-horny paladins to trees to steal their mystical lions.]
Your sympathy is much appreciated.
[Yeah, grumpy Allura is grumpy. It's half cosmetic pride, half "I'm a space general who grow up on Space Australia, losing one half of one's field of weakness is a Bad Thing." Girl could use more chances to laugh at herself. Plus she'd planned on making an official announcement about her engagement, and she can't looking like this.]
I don't really know. Fabian... doesn't talk about that sort of thing. Plus, he kinda had a lot going on at the time.
[It's not often you kill your dad, lose your eye and annihilate your vice-principal on the same day. And also, a new god was created at some point. Very busy day.]
I guess watch out around door posts?
[Riz hadn't really tried to make Fabian talk about what had happened (talking had never helped Riz, so why would it help Fabian) but he had tried, as subtly as he could, to nudge Fabian away from crashing into things on his blind side whenever the two of them were hanging out.]
[Yes, please keep that stuff to yourself!! Riz has already had to deal with more than enough of that from Kristen whenever the topic of Tracker comes up.
At least Gorgug has the decency to be more subdued about these things. Fig though-- Riz has a feeling she is going to be as bad at Kristen if not worse.]
You should come up with a way more rad story for how you got hurt. Something about rampaging owlbears or fighting off god or something. Just anything but the frisbee.
It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, but I still hope not.
[Look, she's not totally unscarred from her battles with Voltron, and some of her friends have much worse or more visible scars, but she hates to admit that she's a bit vain about her appearance.]
Yeah, I guess I wouldn't want a scar from a rabid frisbee either. Even if it looks kinda badass, you'd always have to remember getting attacked by a frisbee.

Oh and Mando got a shit-ton of money from an old lady for rescuing her cat from a tree. He's taking Shadowmaru out on a date.

Say arrrr.
[Please know that he is absolutely chortling up a storm.]

Why on Earth would a pirate- which I am NOT- say that?

You know, arrr, shiver me timbers, walk the plank.
It's just pirate talk, I think.

Clearly they've never met space pirates.

It's not like you actually lost the eye.
Though Fabian did and it just made him more badass.

[Oh. Well now she feels a bit spoiled. (Although she is pleased that Fabian seems to have taken it well.)]
Thank you, and sorry. That does put things in perspective.
[More typing and erasing.]
How did he manage? Practically, I mean. It might make the rest of the month more bearable.

[Okay, Allura can't help chuckling a bit to herself.]
That part is getting a bit easier, at least. My Pokémon and my housemates have been helpful on that front. (Especially Keith.)
[She will be merciful and spare Riz any emojis featuring hearts, blushes, or overly mushy smiles.]

Can I give a tip?

Certainly.

[Hm...]
Not a bad idea. And I suppose I don't need to worry about anyone contradicting me.
[The kids were contrite enough that they don't wanna admit to beaning a lady in the face.]

Is it gonna leave a scar at all? Cause that'd be rad.

Exactly. For now, I shall be grateful that I'll regain my sight eventually, and I'm no stranger to how to ease scarring at this point.
